Thanks to the Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM), value-based programs are continuing to gain dominance over traditional fee-for-service care delivery throughout the entire care continuum. As such, value-based contracting will be critical to the ability of SNFs to establish themselves as essential entities in their markets. Though involvement with this contracting varies, non-participation is no longer an option for SNFs wishing to preserve clinical and financial integrity with their healthcare partners.
