Are Your Infection Prevention and Control Programs Survey Ready? Let Live Data Analytics Guide You
June 26 @ 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm EDT
To ensure adequate care is being provided to the more than 1.2 million people who reside in one of the 15,000+ certified nursing homes across the country, CMS continues to remain diligent in its oversight of Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs). During the COVID-19 pandemic, SNF regulations and surveys looked very different than what it is today. While the processes may vary across states and nursing facilities, poor survey outcomes bring challenging consequences to all, including potential civil financial penalties, payment denials, decreased referrals, and declines in reputation.
Historically, Infection Control related deficiencies have consistently been among the top 3, and are now the top 2 cited deficient regulations. During this session, we will discuss how data-driven technology can help ensure facilities are survey ready and in compliance with outlined federal regulations of F880, F881, F882, and F883. Participants will also learn how taking a proactive approach to the appropriate utilization of data analytics can assist SNFs in identifying areas to enhance performance improvement plans and offer interventional measures. Additionally, we will explore the reduced administrative and regulatory burden that comes with using live data analytics to reach and maintain compliance – enabling facilities to always be “survey ready.”
